An exciting new activity booklet called the Countryside Classroom Passport aimed at primary school aged children is being launched today. The Countryside Classroom Passport has three exciting sections with a range of challenges asking children to find out, write, make , draw , do , and visit , all themed around food , farming and the natural environment. The booklet is the culmination of a number of innovative ideas drawn from Countryside Classroom partners and LEAF Regional Education Consultants.
Elizabeth Lake from Countryside Classroom said “The Passport is designed to encourage young learners to investigate many topical issues such as food waste, quality assurance labels and planting bee friendly gardens. We hope the booklet will not only be fun but also inspire a fascination for food, farming and the countryside.”
The Countryside Classroom Passport is free and available to download now and will be promoted by all our partners. Children who successfully complete all tasks and post in by the end of October 2021 will receive a certificate of achievement and a surprise craft activity (subject to availability). We look forward to seeing all the entries!
