English

Maths

  • Fallen leaves are used in this Spotty Leaves video produced by LEAF Education to make spectacular symmetrical pictures!
  • Baby farm animals are always a favourite with young children. Try this simple, hands on Bar Chart Activity to introduce a mathematical way of recording the most and least popular baby animals in your setting.

Science 

  • Seeds get around in all sorts of ways, on the wind, in running water, on, and inside, animals. But how do you get seeds into those hard to reach places? Make a seed bomb!
  • AHDB has produced these Farming Food For You posters to show life on the farm – how animals are reared and cared for, and how crops are grown and harvested. The six posters explore different farming sectors – dairy, beef, sheep, potatoes, cereals and pork.

Art

  • Why not try this universally fun Art of Hape Zome activity by Learning through Landscapes which involves pounding plants to release their natural pigments into cloth!
